4、ble ideas when composing poems during his travelling and drifting. Therefore, the purpose of this article was to explore the value of medicine and pharmacology on the poet’s life and idea. This article analyzed the prima

5、ry conditions of Du Fu’s poems and the research of TCM and pharmacology according to his social and cultural background and environments. It also studied the close relationship between Du Fu’s poems and TCM; classified h

6、is poems into two kinds. The first was involved in cases and diseases; the second was about the medicinal herbs which he himself picked, grew and used all his life. His 95 poems were divided into three types: cases, medi
