5、ployedaredescribedinthetestrept.1.2Thistestmethoddeterminestheaveragefmaldehydeconcentrationinairemissionratefromanumberoflargesizesamples.Theaverageconcentrationemissionratereptedthuswillnotprovideinfmationonhigherlower
6、emittingpanelsinthetestlot.1.3Thismethodisprimarilyusedftestingnewlymanufacturedpanelproductsthatareshippedftestingeithersealwrappedinpolyethylenewithwastersheetswithboth.Whenthistestmethodisusedfevaluatingotherthannewly
7、manufacturedpanelproducts(afteriginalapplicationinstallationuse)themethodofpackagingshippingtheproductftestingshallbedescribedinthetestrept.1.4Thequantityoffmaldehydeintheairsampletakenfromthechamberisdeterminedbyanadapt
8、ationoftheNationalInstitutefOccupationalSafetyHealth(NIOSH)chromotropicacidtestprocedure.Ifanotheranalyticalprocedureisusedtodeterminethequantityoffmaldehydeintheairsamplethatprocedureshallgiveresultsofequivalentgreatera
9、ccuracyprecisionthantheadaptedchromotropicacidprocedure.Detailedproceduresbasedonacetylacetonepararosaniline(seeTestMethodD5221)24dinitrophenylhydrazine(DNPH)(seeTestMethodD5197)3methyl2benzothiazoline(MBTH)(seeTestMetho
