4、rchalreadydoneinthisfield.ItstudiestheresearchworkconcerningthesystemofmodalitiesthathasbeendonesincetheappearanceofthefirstChinesegrammarbookMashiWentong.Adivisionofthreeperiodsisproposedi.e.thebeginningperiodthedevelop

5、ingperiodandtheindepthresearchingperiod.Conceptionsaredefinedandtheexplanationofthesystemofmodalitiesismadehere.Inadditionabriefintroductionoftheoreticalstudiesonrelatedissuesinoverseascountriesisalsogivensuchasthediffer

6、encesandtherelationshipbetweenmodalityandmood.Thesecondtothefifthchaptersdescribethedetailsoftherelationshipbetweenpersonsandmodalitiesespeciallythatbetweenpersonsandmodalitiesoffunction.Thesecondandthirdchaptersfocusont

7、heselectiverelationsbetweenpersonsandtheimperativemodality.Modelsofmarkedpersonsusedassubjectsinimperativesentencesareproposedonthebasisofwhichthemarkednessofthesubjects“nin“andthefirstpersoninthepluralisdiscussedfromthe

8、perspectiveofsemanticrequirementofimperativeeventsandfromthatofcooccurrenceselectiverelationtoemphasizingitemsandnegativeones.Conditionsofselectionsofthesecondpersonandpostsentencemodalwordsarealsoobserved.Theforthchapte
